This project called for the construction of a major redevelopment of the Intensive Care Unit, overall doubling the size of this hospital wing. Crofton Engineering fabricated and erected the structural steelwork for the 4 storey building on-site

A particular challenge with this development was access; although being a major redevelopment of the site, no direct access was available by road. A small tunnel (the width of 2 office desks) provided the only access for the cranes and other delivery vehicles to get through. As a consequence logistical planning and co-ordination was extremely important to the success of this project.
