As the development was an extension to an existing shopping arcade, the finish was of extreme high importance. Crofton Engineering worked with the previous Architects to ensure the 2 internal & 1 external staircases and the stainless steel & glass balustrades matched those already on site

Access to the site was extremely limited, comprising of a hole cut out for the escalators in the ground floor slab or through a narrow alleyway and up 2 flights of stairs. The logistical demands were further complicated by the fact the site was in Cambridge City centre
