USAR Training Buildings
The UK has a successful record for Urban Search and Rescue, both in operations at home and during responses to a number of major international disasters. This success is driven by the investment in and development of the required personnel skills and competencies in our Fire & Rescue Services all over the country.
Crofton Engineering have worked with various Fire and Rescue Services to design and deliver an off-the-shelf building that can be accommodated in a restricted drill yard area, yet provide lots of scope for USAR and other training such as:
- Working in confined spaces
- Safe working at height
- Carrying out search and rescue in a tunnel
- Removing rubble in a tunnel
- Shoring, breaking and breaching
- Lifting and moving
- Working on pitched roofs
